A beneficial diet

The 5/2 diet is an effective form of weight loss without side effects. It consists of optimizing the metabolism and restricting your calorie intake by more than 75% two days a week while eating normally the other five days. This diet has already proven itself both in terms of weight loss and health.

Remember to weigh yourself before starting this diet and avoid weighing yourself every time leave the operation at the end of the month to see the result.

 

Prevention

The 5/2 diet is not recommended for pregnant women and diabetics and obese people.

A dietician researcher in the United States has proven that the 5/2 diet would be helpful in preventing breast cancer especially for overweight pre-menopausal women.

The 5/2 diet actually allows a decrease in the level of sugar present in the cells. However, it is now proven that sugar is used as fuel for cancer cells.

In short, to protect yourself against breast cancer, it is preferable to turn to less restrictive techniques: regular physical activity, a balanced diet with the 5/2 diet.

What do we eat during the 5 days

During the 5 "normal" days of the week, we favor a balanced but non-hypocaloric diet with about 1800 Kcal per day. Ideally, we adopt the principles of the Mediterranean diet: whole grain products, "good" fats (oily fish, olive oil ...) but little sweet food, little meat, fruits and vegetables. vegetables.

 

How not to gain weight after this diet

In order not to gain weight after the 5/2 diet, it is enough to have learned the necessary lessons. Beyond weight loss, the 5/2 diet is a great way to reconnect with food sensations and with a better relationship to food. In terms of quality, the 5/2 diet allows you to eat everything but in the right proportions.

By continuing to apply these concepts in the daily diet, there is no reason to observe weight gain. Also remember that this method is a lifestyle intended to be followed over the long term. Finally, in order not to gain weight, it is recommended, once the target weight is reached, to continue to integrate one day of diet per week.

How to succeed in this 5/2 diet

The following guidelines must be followed:

  • Respect the menus of the 2 days which will be sent to you according to your health and your BMI 

  • Stop drinking at mealtime (drink water 2 hours before or after meals)

  • Drink plenty of water during the day at least 2 L / day

  • Reduce the amount of bread and pasta and it is better to take wholemeal bread

  • Decrease the amount of sugar and salt

  • Avoid carbonated drinks and opt for natural juices, mineral water or use a natural terracotta jar fill it with water and drink it afterwards because the terracotta regenerates tap water and makes it come alive.

  • Play sports like walking, aerobics, swimming etc.

  • Do not exercise during the 2 days you are on the diet.

 

The 2 days of the diet must not be consecutive, for example you can choose Monday and Wednesday.

The idea is to control the feeling of hunger thanks to the 5 "normal" days (during which you can, for example, go to a restaurant or allow yourself a small fast-food with the children) and to force the body to draw on its fat reserves during the 2 days to reduce the amount of food to be refined.
